Our fleet consists of 2 Honda Transalp´s, one from 1995 and one from 1998. These are touring bikes with a 2-cylinder v-shaped engine, able to go off-road as well. The weight is around 190 kg for the Transalp, ready to go, with a load allowance of around 165 kg. Thus, you can take a passenger along on main routes. In addition, we can offer the 6 BMW R 100 GS, owned by a collegue, for rental.

The bikes run at unreduced power of 50 hp, thus a drivers licence class A is required. An international drivers licence is needed. The BMWs should have at least 60 hp and they can carry a passengers.

You can take along around 18 liters of standard gasoline, which will take you almost 300 km (at a fuel rate of 5 liters per 100 km); or if travelling on such terrain as dirt roads, will take you 200 km (at a fuel rate of 7 liters per 100 km). Filling up on Madagascar is at 2980 Ariary (since 07.2010) for ordinary unleaded gazoline.

All Transalps received new, oversized regulators. This was done to prevent the risk of batterie overcooking, or regulator overheating due to contact corrosion.

The Transalp 95 has a new CDI.

One Transalp comes with an alu box system, the other with Givi cases.

Our latest bike, bought in 2008. It is a build 1995, last year of production in Japan. It comes with all usuall add-ons plus aluminium cases . 9729tah-t
1132tak This Transalp 1998 was bought in march 2007, replacing our Africa Twin. This way, we benefit from Honda's model fine tuning, giving us a new CDI, rear break disk and front double disks. Comes with engine protector, Givi cases and top-case can be mounted.
A collegue here has imported 6 BMW R 100 GS and we can offer them for renting. The bikes have undergone a full overhowl, the owner is a former airplane mechanic and follows his own standards. There are Hepco - Becker boxes and an engine protection. My test drive went well. Operating the direction lights needs practice as well as for the back snapping side stand. The weight with 210 kg is a bit more than that of a Transalp, but due to the R - engine design, the point of weight lays  lower. There is space to carry a baggage roll plus there is a small compartement within the tank.
