The seasons
Madagascar is an all-year-round destination. Its seasons can be characterized as follows:
| January-Mid April | Rainy season, but it does not neccessarily rain every day |
| Risk of cyclons (0 - several per season) |
| with sunshine warm (28-30° in the highlands) | |
| Mid April - Mid June | Usually dry and warm |
| Mid June - End August | Cool in the highlands (18-20°) and in the south (23°) kühl, but mostly dry |
| September - Mid October | Usually dry and warm |
| Mid October-End November | First rains, warmer |
| December | Rainy season, but it does not neccessarily rain every day |
| Risk of cyclons (0 - several per season) |
| with sunshine warm (28-30° in the highlands) |
In the north, it's tropically warm all year round.
On the east coast, it may rain all year round.
The west and south west is often described as very dry, which is true most of the time, but also here it will rain one day.
Regard this only as a general rule of thumb, exceptions are allways possible.
